Job Description:

We’re looking for a Global Sales and Marketing Director that reporting to GM of CCH Tagetik France will be able to:


MARKETING:


  • Define marketing strategies to support the company’s overall growth objectives, the right go to market and marketing plan in conjunction with corporate guidelines and global marketing plan
  • Build a local plan related to local specificities
  • Create visibility as the EPM French leader
  • Streamline communication, process, reporting between the Marketing team and the Sales team
  • "Listen” to market trends and direct the market research efforts of the company
  • Develop a feasible marketing plan for the department and oversee its day-to-day implementation
  • Organize and implement marketing functions and operations (product development, use cases, branding, collateral etc.), and ensure they project the company’s unique “voice”
  • Set up overseeing events, PR, and other marketing efforts across channels (social media, digital, press etc.)
  • Scale the marketing team as we grow internationally

SALES:


  • Define the right sales approach to address the key accounts and generate « elephant deals »
  • Manage the channel sales manager to build direct relationship with the key partners ad key influencers in order to get from 50 to 75% of influenced pipeline brought by partners and influencers
  • Build a plan and execute against it
  • Define sales processes that drive desired sales outcomes and identify improvements where and when required
  • Manage matrix process optimizations and reporting 
  • Leverage existing key customers relationships
  • Manage the Inside sales team
  • Ensure the pipeline creation driven by marketing / inside sales and direct sales pipeline creation
  • Generate at least 3-time pipe volume to cover quarterly and annual objectives
  • Achieve and overpass results related to the budget given on an annual and quarterly basis
  • Close exceptional key deals which will provide a great visibility 
  • Manage the relationships with internal/external partners to strengthen collaborations and create a cohesive strategy and go-to-market message
  • Create close relationship and the required network connexions with C level within key accounts (CFOs, CIOs, CEOs..)
  • Deliver and overachieve the quarterly and annual goals
  • Lead sales strategy to assess sales plays against the competition, how to win and how to mitigate deal losses
  • Put in place the right sales process to manage a predictable and sustainable sales execution and sales productivity
  • Identify strategic opportunities and establish on-going plans with marketing and sales teams to create competitive strategies and participate in key deals that will improve sales execution and increase win rates and deal sizes

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT:


  • Define the optimal sales team structure accordance with the GM vision
  • Hire the right sales team
  • Create a culture of success and ongoing business and goal achievement, training and development Manage and evaluate sales reps; ensure they are actively overseeing top sales performance. Ensure active and constructive management of the sales team
  • Develop the team seniority and maturity 
  • Motivate the team in providing detailed and accurate sales forecasting by brand and account.
  • Develop strategies for sales team to maximize profitability
  • When needed put the weakest under PIP and if necessary get rid of them in respect with the HR constraint
  • Manage all HR issues as they relate to the Sales team. Document and HR issues immediately to the GM and the HR manager including reviews, write ups, comp increases and bonuses.
  • Move beyond strategy, structure, and systems to a framework built on purpose, process, and people
  • Work in a collaborative way with the whole team
  • Stimulate a positive atmosphere and behaviour within the team

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • 15+ years’ progressively responsible experience in wholesale Sales Management proven record of building relationships and financial performance
  • Strong understanding of complex sales cycles including operations, strategizing on positioning and delivery execution to improve win rates 
  • Experience developing sales strategies for teams
  • 8+ years of management
  • Positive Management experience appreciated by its previous teams
  • P&L builder
  • Application sales expertise
  • Addressed C level
  • Used to close big deals in key accounts and to make the difference
