Technical Sales specialist

Location: Lucca (ITALY)

Job Description:

As the Technical Sales specialist, you will act as the expert on the CCH Tagetik Cloud/Managed Service platform and be responsible for assisting our EMEA sales team with technical insights, product presentations and solution architectures.

You will gain a broad technical knowledge of the CCH Tagetik Platform to support sales productivity, partner enablement, and customer evaluations by collaborating closely with product and technical teams to highlight the many ways CCH Tagetik solutions meet customer needs.

The Technical Sales specialist reports to Sales Engineering Manager, and is both a sales person that can interface with customers and internal sales organizations, and at the same time can apply engineering to enhance processes, find new insights, supporting the whole sales cycle.

Job Duties:

  • Engaging with our Clients in scoping, discovering and defining solutions that meet our clients business, technical and service objectives
  • Provide insight to our clients and be their trusted advisor (including challenging their current thinking)
  • Support to creation of technical solution designs utilizing the existing range of Cloud service offerings and possibly bespoke client specific services.
  • Support to creation of costs for technical solutions within a purpose written product driven toolset
  • Participate in technical sales calls, coping with questions and reporting to Team's leader. 
  • Support RFI/RFP/RFQ 
  • Follows and contribute to Sales Engineering practices and documentation
  • Work collaboratively with other groups, including Sales, Cloud Operations, Technical Services, Cloud Development, Software Development, and Product Management, to ensure effectiveness of Sales Engineering activities, achieve technical wins, and focusing on customer satisfaction
  • Be devoted to continuous improvement, approach the working methodologies and the services offered in a continuous improvement practice
  • Be able to work independently, in accordance to agile team working agreements.
  • Strives for continuous personal and professional development both in the sales, technical and engineering areas

Required Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience of preferably pre-sales or consulting experience 
  • Degree in Computer Sciences, Technical/Business Engineering
  • Adaptability & creativity
  • Good presentation/public-speaking skills 
  • Solid computer skills, networking basics, scripting and Office automation (mainly Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Available to expand in other areas of expertise, according to business needs

Preferred Skills:

  • Basic understanding and experience of an ITIL based framework
  • Project Management and Agile methods Basics
  • Previous experience in similar job or in a technical Cloud related job
  • Knowledge of Cloud Platforms, security and compliance topics
  • Familiarity with Sales basics, or experience in Sales/Presales field

Remuneration and contract terms will be discussed individually and defined according to personal skills, competences and experience.
