Senior Accounting Manager

Job Description:

Reporting to the CFO, CCH Tagetik, the Senior Manager Accounting will be responsible for managing the general accounting function concerning primarily the accuracy and maintenance of the ledger accounts and resultant financial statements.

The essential duties and responsibilities are:

  • Oversees the work within the accounting function in order to ensure accuracy and to maintain the general ledger accounts and financial statements.

  • Maintains effective communications with executives and managers across the company to ensure proper sensitivity to the needs of accounting employees.

  • Maintains an effective relationship with offshore/third party BPO firms with whom CCH Tagetik has contracted to perform transactional accounting activities

  • Manages all month-end and year-end accounting procedures including preparation and entry of journal entries for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable,

  • Payroll and General Ledger computer systems.

  • Contributes accounting information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews to achieve accounting operational objectives.

  • Develops and maintains financial reporting systems to ensure integrity of finances based on sound accounting procedures and controls.

  • Ensures proper account reconciliations are performed accurately and on a timely basis

  • Ensure integrity of finances based on sound accounting procedures and controls along with WK policies

  • Assists in the preparation of the annual Budget, and with other financial planning exercises.

  • Resolves complex accounting issues or assists other personnel in resolving financial issues

  • Work with the Local Accounting Team and the Corporate Accounting Team for the preparation of the local taxes (Income, VAT and Sales Tax) declarations

  • Advises accounting staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions.

  • Work with IT and other finance personnel on any redesign or modification to finance and accounting systems to ensure ongoing compliance with controls, policies, procedures, etc.


  • Degree in Accounting, Auditing or related field, or equivalent
  • 7-9 years of progressive Accounting Experience
  • 1-2 year experience in a management position



  • Familiarity with IFRS accounting rules
  • Netsuite and SAP accounting software experience 
  • Experience working with Compliance and Database Management and Advanced Software
  • Experience with an international firm
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding analytical and project management skills are required.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • A good understanding of a corporate accounting environment is required. 
  • Strong communication skills.
