Privacy Policy

By accessing this site, visitors can obtain information on the company's activities and products. Tagetik Software applies the principles of the Privacy Code (Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003) regarding personal data to this access and to all commercial relations.


1. Information gathered through the CCH Tagetik website or in other contexts

There are five ways in which information may be gathered by CCH Tagetik:

  • When you visit CCH Tagetik websites, the web server identifies the IP address of the visiting computer and saves it in a domain (a domain is an address with which one computer communicates with another).
  • Using the scripts, information is gathered regarding the type of browser, the operating system and the configuration system used by the visitor.
  • When you access certain pages of our websites, you may be asked to complete a registration form to download documents or view demo videos, request information, request demos, request consultancy days, become a partner, request support, request a recorded event or register for a live event. These forms identify your personal information and may ask for your comments.
  • In the context of commercial relations
  • As a result of the purchase of commercial databases or public documents

1.1 Data processing purposes and methods

a) The data gathered is processed strictly for the purpose of setting up/managing the contractual relationship between you and Tagetik Software (e.g. gathering pre-contractual details, fulfilling contractual requirements and performing actions arising from the contract, administrative and operational formalities connected with the contract, etc.) or to fulfill your specific requests.
b) The personal data may be processed, with your express consent, for communication purposes, including by e-mail, or for promotional or marketing purposes (e.g. for invitations and events, webinars or other specific marketing or news reporting activities regarding CCH Tagetik). Personal data is processed, both manually and with computerized and electronic systems, by our duly authorized staff, in accordance with the confidentiality and security rules established by current regulations. The data gathered will be stored and processed for no longer than is required to achieve the aforesaid purposes or in compliance with specific legal obligations.

1.2 Purposes for which the data is supplied and consequences of a refusal

The personal data referred to in point a) is required for us to perform the operations described in point 1.1 a). The data processing referred to in point 1.1.b) is however optional, as expressly required by current regulations.

1.3 Communication and dissemination

The personal data processes may be communicated, also for the purpose of pursuing the objectives stated above, to our commercial partners and/or external parties, expressly authorized by us, who perform specific functions on behalf of Tagetik Software (e.g. accounting and financial reporting, tax and insurance formalities, sending correspondence, managing collections and payments, etc.), to government bodies for institutional functions and, anonymously, for statistical research purposes.


2. Use of cookies, Javascript codes and external services

Tagetik Software uses Javascript cookies and codes to ensure the integrity of the registration process and to customize the Site. A cookie is a small text file saved to your hard disk by a website server. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or send viruses to the user's computer. Cookies are uniquely assigned to the user and can only be read by the web server of the domain that sent them. One of the main purposes of cookies is to allow the user to save time. For example, if users customize a Web page or visit a website, the cookie will allow the visited site to recall specific information regarding the user on his/her next visit. The use of cookies allows users to be provided with customized content and makes it easier for them to visit sites. 2.1 Types of cookies

Cookies can be divided into three types based on their features and on how they are used:

By simply having an a piece of content such as an advert from another site loaded on the web page you are viewing, you are granting permission for that other site to create its cookie on your device.


2.2 Third party cookies

2.2.1 Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a Web analysis service supplied by Google, Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files stored on your computer to allow the website to analyze how users use the website. The information generated by cookies regarding your use of the website (including your IP address) is sent to and stored on Google servers in the United States. Google will use this information to track and examine your use of the website, compile reports on website activity for the website operators and supply other services relating to website activity and Internet use. Google may also transfer this information to third parties, if required by law or if these third parties process the aforesaid information on behalf of Google. 2.2.2 AddThis
This is a useful service for you to share articles and texts from a website on social networking platforms available on the Web. It therefore makes life simpler for anyone visiting a website who also uses the best known social networking sites fairly regularly. CCH Tagetik uses AddThis.com services to make it easier to distribute and subscribe to web content on social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn etc. The service provides two kinds of buttons, one for subscribing to RSS feeds and a second to add content from a website to the various social bookmarking services. 2.2.3 Marketo

This website uses marketing automation technology (Marketo) to collect data on visitor behavior. The data is collected for use in marketing and optimization. Some visitor data is saved using an anonymous user ID and can be used to aggregate a usage profile. Cookies may be used for this purpose. It is possible to use these cookies to recognize a visitor’s browser.

The data collected by the marketing automation technology will not be used to determine the personal identity of a website visitor and will not be compiled with personal data relating to the person referred to by the IP address, unless the visitor opts in by completing a form, provided by Marketo, or clicking a link in an email, thereby agreeing. Once the visitor opts in by providing their name, email address or other information, the IP address and the history associated with it is matched with the new information to create their profile. This information is used only by us to provide specific marketing information to the visitor. We do not share this information with anyone but Marketo, where the information is stored. 2.2.4 Demand Base

Uses cookies and web beacons such as invisible tracking pixels to gather non-personally identifiable information such as browser version, operating system, IP address, cookie information, time stamps, from which CCH Tagetik gathers company and other firmographic data associated with your IP address. Cookies are readable only by Demandbase, with identifiers that may be linked to certain non-personally identifiable information or non-personally identifiable advertising IDs from third parties. 2.2.5 CCH Tagetik Software also uses the following services

  • Google AdWords conversion tracking: conversion Tracking is a free tool developed by Google that shows us what happens after a customer clicks on our ads.
  • Google AdWords Remarketing: This service allow us to reach people who have previously visited our website. Our ads could appear to them as they browse other sites that are part of the Google Display Network or as they search for terms related to our products on Google.
  • Adroll: Adroll offers a remarketing platform across for cross-platform, cross-device display advertising and allows us to create personalized ad campaigns based on our own website data. 
  • Outbrain: With Outbrain Amplify, links to our contents appear as recommendations on the web's largest content publishers including sites like CNN.com, Slate and ESPN. This platform helps us to drive visitors to our website.
  • Doubleclik bid manager (DBM): These cookies allow the advertising to be more useful for both publishers and users. Some common purposes of this cookie include the selection of advertising based on what is more pertinent to the user; the improvement of campaigns performances and the opportunity to avoid ads visualization if a user already saw it. 2.3 Cookie duration

Some cookies (session cookies) only remain active until the browser is closed or the logout command is executed. Some cookies "survive" after the browser is closed and are available for subsequent visits by the user. These are known as persistent cookies and their duration is fixed by the server when they are created. In some cases, a deadline is fixed, in other cases the duration is limited.

  • to object to the processing of their personal data for legitimate reasons or, in any case, if they are used for the purpose of sending advertising, direct marketing or commercial communication material or to carry out market research surveys.
