Job Description:

We’re looking for a talented, highly motivated, results-oriented individual with extensive CPM/EPM project management experience to join our growing consulting team. Our ideal candidate? A hands-on player who will deliver and help grow our North American business operations. SCOPE OF ROLE:

  • Manage and coordinate project activities to deliver solutions on the assigned project(s) within scope, on time and profitably.
  • Provide appropriate direction, management and mentoring to the project team.
  • Identify risks and resolutions on assigned project(s).
  • Maintain visibility on assigned project(s).
  • Nurture, respect and strengthen client relationships.
  • Seek and identify new opportunities for revenue generation at existing clients.

 

Required Skills:

  • Lead project design sessions, work plan/project plan development and budget development for projects.
  • Produce project status for internal and external consumption.
  • Promote and provide a team atmosphere for project team to work under.
  • Provide design and direction to the project team.
  • Oversee all assigned project team members and manage the ‘day-to-day’ implementation of assigned projects.
  • Utilize, maintain and provide feedback to the Professional Services Management team on the process, methodology and standardization of project management.

 

Client Relations:

  • Ensure that the customers’ direct needs are addressed during the implementation process.
  • Resolve first level customer issues in a timely and responsive manner.
  • Escalate any customer issues that are unresolved to the appropriate Manager, Implementation Delivery in a timely manner.
  • Build and foster strong client relationships at the implementation level and above, gaining credibility and trust.

 

People Leadership:

  • Participate or conduct project wrap-up discussions with project team, providing guidance and constructive criticism as required for the betterment of the team members.
  • Identify and assist in the coaching and development of future Project Leads from the consulting pool.

 

Other:

  • Post secondary education in Computer Science, Accounting or Business discipline and/or equivalent experience.
  • Desirable designations CPA, CMA, CFA, MBA, P.Eng or PMP certification.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in software and database development.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in leading and managing CPM/EPM implementation projects.
  • Subject matter expertise in finance/accounting/financial management systems including budgeting, forecasting with a solid understanding of specific use cases (e.g. workforce planning, operating expense planning, revenue planning, capital expenditures, cost of manufacturing/goods sold, cash flow, etc.).
  • Technical expertise with multi-dimensional and relational database system implementations.
  • Strong organization and planning skills.
  • Strong business acumen; understand the link between business need and application of technology.
  • Proven track record in working with multiple initiatives and projects at the same time.
  • Exceptional written and oral communications skills.
  • Willingness and legal ability (required documentation) to immediately travel and work across Canada and the United States.

Remuneration and contract terms will be discussed individually and defined according to personal skills, competences and experience.
