10Q 10K

Form 10K is the annual report US public companies submit to the Securities and Exchange Commission, while Form 10Q is the quarterly report. Both are comprehensive reports of a company's performance.

The 10K contains information like company history, organizational structure, equity, subsidiaries, holdings, earnings per share and audited financial statements. It is filed within 60 days of a company’s fiscal year end.

The 10Q contains information similar to the 10K, but the information disclosed is typically less detailed and the financial statements are unaudited. Three are submitted yearly, with the last quarter covered by the 10K. For large accelerated and accelerated filers, the 10-K is due 40 days after quarter end. For non-accelerated filers, its due 40 days after quarter end.
