Gartner CPM Magic Quadrant User Survey. Tagetik Scores Big.

Last week Gartner published its annual user survey based on the results gathered during the CPM Magic Quadrant customer surveys. The vendors on the Magic Quadrant were ranked by customer satisfaction scores of their customers surveyed. All 17 vendors are included in the rankings even though only 11 met the requirement of 25 submitted customer surveys. Vendors not meeting the minimum included some notable names but their including IBM, Infor, Host Analytics, SAS, and Tidemark. It was interesting that most of these vendors ended up near the bottom of the rankings.

 

The other interesting outcome that we at Tagetik are proud of is that we scored higher in customer satisfaction than any other SaaS CPM vendor and higher than any other global CPM vendor. To me that shows a couple of things:


1. Large, global and complex enterprises should expect higher satisfaction levels than they are currently achieving with the market leaders.

 

2. These same organizations can achieve these satisfaction levels on the cloud not just on-premise.

3. Finance organizations can address very complex requirements with several hundred or even thousands of users without compromising on satisfaction or deployment preference.


This is very interesting research but we look forward to the next CPM Magic Quadrant related research, the much more detailed Critical Capabilities for CPM Suites which should be out in the next month or so. In the meantime you can find last year’s version here.
