Job Description:

The Cloud operations system Administrator will be responsible for the maintenance, monitoring, diagnostics, support, and installation of systems on Cloud datacenters (Azure, AWS).

The ideal candidate would be innovative and have great problem solving and analytical skills. 
You have experience operating distributed systems and diagnosing and resolving complex problems. You pay attention to detail and solve problems at their root.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Install new/rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, services, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements
  • Administration tasks for: Windows systems, Linux systems, SQL Servers, PostgreSQL
  • Research and recommend innovative, and where possible, automated approaches for system administration tasks
  • Set up and configuration of Networking, VPN tunnel, Firewalls, Routing, Internet Gateway, Domain Controllers, SAML federation
  • Apply OS/application patches and upgrades on a regular basis and upgrade administrative tools and utilities
  • Perform regular backup operations and checks, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up and sent off site as necessary
  • Provide support and technical advice to customers on infrastructural and configuration matters
  • Investigate and troubleshoot configuration and performances issues
  • Configure/add new services as necessary
  • Proactive monitoring of key resources to resolve small problems before they become big problems
  • Work closely with service desk and other colleagues to resolve problems
  • Drive automation by writing scripts with PowerShell

What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience
  • 3+ years minimum experience in IT server administration, in particular with Linux systems is preferred
  • Good understanding of TCP/IP networking
  • Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy Management
  • Enthusiasm and passion for work
  • Flexibility, autonomy and proactivity
  • Attitude to work in team
  • Customer centric attitude

Nice to have:

  • Proficiency in working with PowerShell scripting
  • Experience with Monitoring Solutions (Solarwinds, Nagios, MRTG,…)
  • Strong Problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • 100% fluency in English is a must
  • Familiarity with Cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
  • Container Technology (e.g. Docker)
  • Infrastructure as Code experience (e.g. Chef, Puppet, Ansible, etc)
  • Experience working in DevOps environment
  • Strong awarness on security matter
  • Familiarity with operations in ISO27001 certified context
  • ITIL experience
