The history of Microsoft in Italy began with the establishment of the subsidiary in October 1985. Microsoft Italia is currently based in three main offices in Italy, in Milan, Rome and Turin, and three subsidiary branches in Padua, Naples and Bologna. There are 820 employees with an average age of 36 years old, among the lowest average age in the group. In over 20 years of activity, the Italian subsidiary of Microsoft has gone from strength to strength, becoming an important protagonist in the evolution of Information Technology, and in the development of our country, accompanying thousands of companies on the road towards technological innovation. Today the company is run by Pietro Scott Jovane, who assumed the position of Managing Director on the 18th of July 2008.
