As the leading independent operator in the Italian downstream petroleum market—and listed on the stock market since 1997—ERG is now positioned as a "multi-energy" group, with a commitment to increase its presence in the electricity, natural gas, and renewable energy sectors.

Project Objectives

Following the restructuring of the ERG group, the need arose to analyze and formalize the corporate standards for defining the annual budget, the multiyear plan, and monthly management accounting figures, while taking account of both the specific requirements of each business and the needs for standardization on the part of the holding company.

The complexity of the objectives identified also made it necessary for the group to introduce specific IT applications. The requirements on that front were fulfilled by Tagetik's bid, which specified a solution involving both the COGNOS^® suite in combination with Tagetik CPM.
