It’s small project – but a great cause. Each year, Tagetik employees and partners collect their best photographs to create a calendar for charitable cause. For the past four years, Tagetik has donated the sales proceeds to support committed humanitarian organization with specific activities and projects. 

We are proud to say that this initiative has generated hope – and considerable donations as well. And the testimonials encourage us to continue our support for these local and international causes. We thank all employees and partners who contribute their pictures year after year and make this act of giving a success.

2009 Calendar

Moving towards a brighter future

Once again this year, we are supporting and financing, with a fund-raising effort, a number of carefully designed projects with a local focus that we follow directly, an approach that gives us full confidence in the programs. The funds will be used for specific initiatives to give real hope and tangible assistance to people in need.

The associations receiving our help are:

• AMANI NYAYO Onlus
  Lucca – Italy
  The association helps promote developmental projects supporting local communities in Third World countries. In particular educational projects (building a high school in Rwanda, literacy courses in Burkina Faso), health (AIDS prevention and child malnutrition in Rwanda and Burkina Faso) and the exploitation of renewable energy (electrification project in Burkina Faso).

• Amici del Perù
  Lucca -www.amicidelperu.info
  This is an association based in Lucca that supports the lay missionary Maurizio Caneva, who works with the poorest populations in the Andes through three refectories, an agricultural development project and, currently, the establishment of a health center.

• Associazione Perù Etico Italia
  Cuzco – Perù www.perueticoitalia.org
  For the past five years Perù Etico Italia have been working tirelessly to secure a better future among over one hundred children and adolescents in situations of extreme poverty, with problems of neglect, violence and/or disabled. There have been years of struggles, successes and defeats, lived with love and openness.
  

• Yra onlus Humanitarian Association
  Founded in Lucca in 1993; this association supports humanitarian projects to help the people who survived the Chernobyl nuclear disaster in Belarus. By organized exchange programs where Children visit Lucca and stay with families for brief visits. A new project undergo is the construction of a Greenhouse within a children’s Orphanage in Belarus.
  

• La comunità di Sant'Egidio di Lucca
  www.santegidio.org
  The Community is involved in offering support to needy families with a weekly refectory service, a school for peace and other less regular but equally important initiatives such as the used toy sale and Christmas lunch.
• Sawasdee Pratet Thai
  Lucca –Italia, Dong Bang – Thailand
  Sawasdee Pratet Thai provides a real and direct support to families in a small town on the border between Thailand and Laos with the aim of offering a different day for children of school with a healthy lunch and new materials to study. They mainly focus on providing support to poor families that have lost all their rice due to heavy rainfalls as well as aid for the elderly who are often left alone.
