Pre Sales Consultant

Purpose and Objectives

In Tagetik, a Pre Sales Consultant supports the Tagetik Sales Rep and Partners throughout the selling process. Their objectives are to qualify opportunities, respond to RFP’s and RFI’s, prepare product presentations and prototypes, that meet the specific requirements of a potential customer. A Pre Sales Consultant is required to have an in depth knowledge of CPM processes (Statutory Consolidation, Budgeting and Closing). A Pre Sales consultant is directly involved in product demos and presentations and must have the ability to speak publicly and professionally with potential clients providing a thorough presentation of the product, and establishing a relationship that as a result leads to a successful sale .

A Pre Sales Consultant works closely with the team in charge of implementing the Client's solution: ensuring that the project requirements and implementation meets the needs of the customer.



Training and skills required

  • solid understanding of Performance Management ;
  • BS degree in Software Engineering, Management Engineering or Economics;
  • fluent english;
  • team player;
  • excellent communication skills;
  • under 38 years;
  • available to travel throughout Italy and abroad (i.e. UE, USA).


Additional skills

  • Expertise in Financial Applications (Statutory Consolidation, Budget and Planning forecast, What If analysis);
  • Knowledge of SQL language and relational database servers (Microsoft SQL or Oracle);
  • Knowledge of tools for enterprise reporting (OLTP and/or OLAP).


Tasks and expectations

  • Be a part of an International Pre Sales team (nationwide and abroad )
  • Create and maintain demo environments (standard and per industry)and when necessary, prepare specific prototypes;
  • Ongoing relationship with Product Marketing team in order to provide valuable document information to support the sales process;
  • Ongoing technical knowledge and new features of our software;
  • ability to communicate effectively with different types and levels of roles simultaneously (ex. Managers, CIOs,CFOs…)
  • ability to deal with customers requests, offering creative solutions that meet the needs of business proposals;
  • ability to position Tagetik effectively within the competitive market;
  • discover, analyze and propose solutions to be provided directly to the CFO, CIO and Controller of the Group;
  • simultaneously manage multiple sales processes;


Work experience

Minimum of 2 years Pre-Sales experience in the BI/PM/CPM software solution sector.
